Children

When you separate, it can be hard to talk to your ex-partner at all, let alone to reach agreements about what you and your family need. Disagreements can also occur years after separation, when things change and it is a struggle for both parents to agree on what to do.

It is far better for your children if both parents can work together to try to agree the way forward – but this can be hard to do on your own.

The needs of your children will be central to the mediation process. Family mediation provides you with a safe and supported structure to sort out the best arrangements for your children, and to think about what is going to be important for them as they grow up. It also provides you with the space and time to think about what is most important for your children, and for the whole family.
